In a world where diversity of thought and experience reigns supreme, this edition invites you to embark on a journey of introspection and growth. Join us in exploring how a paradigm shift in our perception can lead to becoming a more inclusive and understanding believer. Let’s correct our lens together and discover the richness that lies in embracing his gifts.
Lens Correction
A lens is a piece of transparent glass which concentrates or disperses light rays when passes through them by refraction. Due to the magnifying property, lenses are used in telescopes and other magnifying devices. They are employed in cameras for gathering light rays.
Wishing all readers, a Happy New Year 2024! Let’s correct our vision and move ahead until His coming in the clouds.
The main optical function of the lens in the human eye is to transmit light, focusing it on the retina. The cornea contributes about 80% of total refraction, while the lens fine-tunes the focusing of light onto the retina.
The Lens correction process fixes lens issues such as distortion and perspective. Since each lens is uniquely designed, the lens corrections are applied depending upon the lens model. Lens corrections help offset imperfections present in nearly every camera image. These might include darkening near the corners of the frame, otherwise straight lines appearing curved, or color fringes near edge detail. Even though these often aren't obvious in the original photo, the benefits of their removal almost always are. However, lens corrections also have the potential to make images worse if not carefully performed.
What might have impaired our perception of life? A deep disappointment? A shaming parent? A humiliating defeat? A great grief? A gradual abandonment? A woeful regret? ….
Imagine your self-imposed limits melting away through the lens of Jesus’ perfect love.
Seeing things anew through Jesus’ eyes can change any of us like that—in an instant. There’s almost no limit to how much we can change when our eyes are opened.
I think of the depressed disciples moping down the dusty road to Emmaus on the first Easter, unaware of the miracle of the empty tomb. When the risen Messiah mysteriously appeared alongside them, the oblivious disciples “stood still, looking sad” (Luke 24:17) because “their eyes were kept from recognizing him” (v. 16). But after a Bible study and a meal with Jesus, “their eyes were opened” (v. 31), and everything changed in an instant. When they realized that the Lord wasn’t dead in a grave but alive in their midst, their depression evaporated in a flash. Joy rushed into their hearts, and they sprinted to tell others what they’d seen.
Seeing things anew through Jesus’ eyes can change any of us like that—in an instant.
And because revelation is a gift from Jesus, it changes us effortlessly. It’s grace at work when we see as Jesus sees.
Jesus invites us into discipleship.
“Come and you will see,” He says (John 1:39).
Can you feel the Savior’s excitement? He has beauty to share!
“Behold what I behold,” Jesus says.
“Look through My eyes. See what’s real, what’s important, what’s beautiful . . . and discover joy in the vision. Take My hand. Let Me show you what you’ve been missing.”

Quote
“A beam of God's countenance is enough to fill the heart of a believer to overflowing. It is enough to light up the pale cheek of a dying saint with seraphic brightness, and make the heart of the lone widow sing for joy. ”
